Ana has to leave her home, and everything she has ever known, to live in Hades House!! Also, left to compete with her tormentor, Haven. When The Trials start, where only one can be left standing, Ana is shocked when Hades calls her name to compete in his house. Haven Knightfall, one of the most powerful descendants, of Hades is a complete bully. Although, a part of her does yearn for a little more. She has spent her life basically sheltered, and happy, at the Goddess Hestia’s House. I don‘t want to give away too much of the story, bc it will ruin all of the surprises, in store for you 😉.Īna is an orphan. It was very easy for me to imagine being there, and to put myself in Ana’s shoes!! This book was a page turner from beginning to end!! I highly recommend this book!! I can’t wait to read book 2 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Ana is the perfect narrator!! I really connected with her!! Author, Nikki Kardnov, really made it easy to see this unique and amazing world, through Ana’s POV. This is book 1, in a new series, from the PHENOMENALLY talented writer Nikki Kardnov ♥️ I COULD NOT put this book down!! Haven Knightfall gave me butterflies through the entire book!! Him and Ana had a great tension filled chemistry through the whole story 🔥🔥🔥 Haven is a very complex character, and is not easy to figure out, which I love ♥️ One minute he’s a bully, the next he’s tender, especially toward Ana. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review It got more interesting at the very end, but not enough for me to continue with the next book. The first two trials themselves were okay. Apparently that's only 50% of the time because the other 50% he's trying to get into her pants. He dislikes her because she's free to make her own decisions and doesn't have the pressure of living up to a name like he does? Ugh. None of that made any sense really.Ĭome to find out.

She stood up for herself a few times, but then was so into her tormentor that I was getting some kind of whiplash from them both. Sure, she was powerful, but she couldn't control it and let everything bring her down, to the point where she was trying to give up numerous times. She also was a weak character for the majority of the book. Haven was so back and forth and Ana was just going along with it. The writing didn't really engage me, and honestly, reading about Ana and Haven kind of annoyed me. I wasn't too interested during most of it. The beginning was pretty slow after it actually started.
